In the first 10 months of 2025, Vietnam's pepper export turnover reached $1.39 billion, setting a new record by surpassing the full-year figure for 2024.
According to data from the General Department of Customs, the country's pepper exports in the 10-month period amounted to 205,229 tons, valued at $1.39 billion (a 6.4% decrease in volume but a 25.3% increase in value compared to the same period in 2024).
In October alone, Vietnam exported 18,788 tons of pepper worth nearly $126 million (an increase of 1.9% in volume and 4.42% in value compared to October 2024).
Not only has it surpassed the $1.3 billion mark achieved in the entire year of 2024, but the pepper export turnover in the first 10 months of 2025 also closely approaches the total export value of 2016 (nearly $1.43 billion) — the year with the highest export value recorded prior to 2024.

The United States continues to lead as Vietnam's largest pepper export market, accounting for 45.8 thousand tons, valued at over $341 million. This is followed by Germany with 14 thousand tons, valued at over $107 million. Additionally, Vietnamese pepper is also exported to many other countries, such as the UK, Thailand, South Korea, and Egypt.
Forecasts from economic experts confirm that pepper on the world market will continue its upward trend, and this—combined with recovering demand in key markets—will create leverage for our country's pepper exports in the final months of 2025.
